New Year, New Fibres

I haven't updated for about a month, naughty Em. However I haven't stopped spinning! I visited the local Spinners and Weavers group in early December and was welcomed with open arms. They loved my spindle and I am doing a group order for them soon. I am even invited to their Friendship Days gathering in late March and I'm looking forward to meeting a lot more spinners and weavers.

In mid December I bought myself some light brown combed alpaca tops, a beautiful purple/black and a blue/purple wool blend. The alpaca spins up so quickly and is so soft to work with. I'm tempted to get myself some tops in other colours. Spin'N'Knit Fibre Design All alpaca is from their own alpacas and she's even won awards at some of the Royal shows.


This is my Comanche Moon, I find drink bottles easier to spin off onto as well as it's easy to ply off too.

Unfortunately the purples don't seem to want to photograph well so I'll have to wait and get some decent pics to share.
